Although it's well packaged for shipping safely, mine arrived heavily damaged. One of the side glass panels and wood framing that secures the glass in place were smashed out beyond repair. The outer cardboard box showed no sign of damage, so it would appear the entire parcel must have suffered a severe blow during shipping. Following the instructions on Modern Furniture's damaged shipment claim process resulted in a timely response and completely satisfactory resolution. Shipping damage hiccup aside, it is sturdily built with pleasingly finished solid wood that does not look or feel "cheap" comparatively to (some) veneered MDF cabinets. The base is not made with thin flimsy square metal tubing, but rather it's quite rigid and solid. There should be no concern of it getting bent, broken, or holding up weight reliably. While I'd not classify it as high-end cabinetry, it is certainly a step above most mass produced lower priced prefabricated cabinets. It's a good mid-balance choice between low-end and high-end options available on the market. My intended use is as an A/V cabinet to house my audio receiver, Blu-ray player, cable TV box, etc., and it definitely will serve well for that purpose. Notes to product description: - Although it states "push-to-open doors with magnetic door catches," the one shipped to me did not have push-to-open door hardware. It is simply pull to open doors with magnetic catches that secure the doors when closed. - Unspecified dimensions are; metal base 12" high, interior shelves 16.5" deep by 33" wide, upper shelf 8.5" height clarence (removeable but not height adjustable), lower shelf 9.25" height clarence. - Cabinet back panel has a 3" diameter access hole for feeding wires/cables through (not pictured). It's centered so that cables can be fed through from either shelf and has a swinging wood cover to hide the hole if not in use.
