We were very excited to order such pretty beige chairs and have them delivered so promptly- but there were problems from the start bc the delivery service wouldn’t leave the packages and we had to pick them up. It was disappointing to have to assemble the legs on to each chair (8) with Allan keys. We were VERY disappointed that 5/8 chairs had a manufacturing defect- 1 stained orange on the underside of the fabric and 4 with broken, raw (including bark) or unpainted wood! Took too long to get a competent reply, and I needed to be persistent via email and phone. For the record, the word “seat” is not synonymous with “legs”, nor is it a substitute for “chair”. We received 5 replacements for the complete uppers (legs not included) promptly. That was good. This necessitated, however, that I remove the legs from the 5 damaged chairs then reinstall them on the replacements. I’m sad to report that one of the replacements had a twisted frame so the feet didn’t sit flat on the floor. I elected to remove the legs from that frame and reinstall them on the chair with the orange stain bc I’d rather sit flat. Too much hassle to call and haggle again. How do you take a still photo to show a wobbly chair? Now we have finally got a full set of 8 chairs with generous seats, cushy backs, and level feet. We also have 5 seat/backs with broken wood bases and no legs that we need to dispose of. We’re disappointed with the overall experience. I would not recommend the Brassex brand bc it is overpriced for the poor craftsmanship. The fact that we were told to “do what we want” with the 5 damaged seat/backs, is an indicator that even this distributor doesn’t want the hassle associated with these chairs.
