While the lamp is OK once assembled (only possible after major surgery) the weight of the head, despite the (inadequate) counterweight, causes the lamp to lean forward, somewhat spoiling the otherwise fairly attractive look of the lamp. The light itself works well and can be adjusted satisfactorily. Frankly, it is overpriced considering how poorly designed and executed (assembly issues and poor machining of the parts) it is. We only kept them (we bought 2) because it was too much trouble to send them back and because I was able to rewire and drill out the undersize washer that prevented screwing on the nut that holds the lamp to the base. NOT RECCOMENDED.
